“Open the door of your oven and place a piece of fruit (banana or kiwi peels) in there overnight.
Wake up early the next morning and quietly close the oven door.
Turn on the oven to 400ºF/200ºC for about 10-15 minutes and majority of your fruit flies will be gone.”

- we thought about doing this technique, but went with the bowl trap instead.

This just in everyone,

Through minutes of research done by Amie and Andrew, we have discovered that Broken Social Scene are playing a FREE-FRIGGIN show at the harbourfront centre on Saturday, July 11th at 8:00 p.m. That’s pretty much all the info for now. Might I suggest we all go? If anybody has already heard about this show, please just let me have this. Thats right, folks. Camping has now become a legit descriptor! One half of ballers on mccaul went camping this weekend at the Pinery in Grand Bend. It was eventful to say the least, and it began with A and I’s subway ride to my house in the ‘saug (which involved some guy surreptitiously tagging the window and another sketcho smoking and eyeing us creepily for one stop).

On the ride up, we drove through a million tiny rural towns surrounding Stratford, which also happened to be die-hard conservative Catholic. We saw 8 churches and a billboard that read ABORTION = HOLOCAUST. We laughed…nervously.

Aside from the cold, my busted-ass air mattress, the hard ground, burning my nose, A having disturbing dreams about mimes and disgusting ~~bat~~ caterpillar nests, the trip was all about the beach, livin’ in nature, food, fire and friends. Oh, and smoking, drinking and swearing. Emphasis on the swearing, although not so much, because the park rangers paid us a visit offering us two point of advice:
1) Don’t use the surrounding trees and branches as firewood because the forest is protected and we’ll fine you.
2) Don’t swear, we’ll fine you.

Haha. Really.

Saturday night, girls faced the guys in flip cup (winner is undisclosed), and there were some amusing Never Have I Ever revelations. Also, I smoked a cigar for the first time (not a whole one), where A preferred the cigarillos, and C preferred…you know. I also found it necessary to call my father to ask him which type of cigar is the best in the world…it was an embarassing conversation on my part. Thank you 20 Bees winery.

Overall, we ate too much junk (i.e. bacon), smelled like smoked gouda, almost froze solid at night and were completely exhausted by the end of it all. And it was perfect.
